heres a little preview of that song i started working on with my friends alex and ryland for “this is ivy league.” i did the lyrics/vox/flute and i think its sounding pretty sweet. this is just the brainstorming phase..cant wait to hear it finished!
someone recently contacted me about this a capella “experiment” i did back in the day…its a cover of the alison krauss/gillian welch version of “i’ll fly away” from the movie “oh brother where art thou” . lots of quotes. anyways, its gonna be used in a theater performance on december 1st.. so neat :) wish i could see it hehe. here’s the clip, a totally raw 3 way harmony done on garage band in my bedroom! fun stuff
i did a bunch of a capella cover recordings a while back, and some of them are being sampled by a few artists for upcoming projects. this is one of the raw clips that is being used, its from the sound of music (best movie)
I did voice over for a song “Crushed and Trampled” on the new EP for my boyfriend’s band At Daggers Drawn. (click “new stuff” above). The whole EP is available for streaming right now at this link, so check it out! They are touring the US east coast in August with ChokeUp. NYC all the way down to Florida…I dont remember all the places but you can follow them on facebook to stay updated on their tour dates if you want to go see them: At Daggers Drawn on Facebook
i just finished collaborating on a song with two super talented friends of mine in nyc, alex and ryland. can’t wait to hear it when its ready! in the mean time, i’ll post a couple things here and there that i’ve worked on. for now, here’s something i recorded for my boyfriend’s christmas present. a cover of connie stevens’ “sixteen reasons”.. but i changed the lyrics to dedicate it to the biggest source of inspiration i have ;)
